Growth and volunteer opportunities for people of all ages
kids
Kids @ Peace
Kids@Peace is our Children's Ministry for kids birth - 5th grade. We provide an environment where kids (and parents) can learn how they learn best, feel comfortable asking questions, and get to know Jesus. Our amazing volunteers and staff engage kids and families with music, crafts, art, and more, to equip them to lead a life of showing God's love to others.
youth
YTH@Peace
The teaching at Peace Church is designed to be meaningful and impact students where they are, and help them take a step closer to God. We want each student to know and experience God's love and grace while cultivating authentic relationships with other students and leaders. Our prayer is that you and your children will grow in your passion for God and live it out in every area of your lives.
small groups
Small Groups are a great way to become active in the life of Peace Church. Small groups can be anywhere from 3-20 people, and made up of men, women, families, singles or people who share interests. Small Groups exist to help people develop relationships with God and others, promoting spiritual growth and maturity through the development of significant Christian relationships centered on the study and application of God’s Word.
Prayer Groups
Centering Prayer
Mondays 8am. We commit to praying together weekly at 8:00am and follow the guidelines of meditating on a scripture verse for 20 minutes followed by praying for our church, families, communities, government and the world.
Prayer Team
Receive prayer requests by email from the church office as they come in. Contact the church office to be added.
bible studies
Fall Bible Study
‘Growing Up: A Lifelong Journey’ is a 7 week study led by Betsy Ahlers and will consider the questions “Who is God?” “Who am I?” and “What does God desire to do through me?”. We hope the Growing Up conversations help you begin to answer some of these questions and create a hunger to discover more about God and yourself.
PDC Bible Study
Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Join the Deaf and hard of hearing Bible study series that help us understand the impact that Jesus has had on the world. Contact Lynn Eccles for more information.
music
Peace Church Choir
Wednesdays at 6:30pm for rehearsal, Sundays at 10am for worship. The choir typically sings 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sundays Sept-May. You may join if you can sing, need to learn to sing, are musical, or working on being musical. We learn a variety of styles, and sing with a variety of instrumental accompaniments. We are a fun bunch always looking for new voices and instrumentalists, so please feel free to join us.
Peace Praise Band
Thursdays at 6:30pm for rehearsal, Sundays at 10am for worship. Peace’s Praise Band is a group of talented singers, accompanied by guitar, bass, keyboard and drums leading songs for worship. The band plays a mix of contemporary worship songs, updated versions of classic hymns and some original compositions.
sports
Pickleball
Saturdays at 10am. Over the last few years, pickleball has been rising in popularity. The growth of the sport in recent years probably has a lot to do with the fact that it is a sport that is easy to learn and fun for mixed groups, no matter the age, gender, or skill of the players. Register Here
Volleyball
Mondays (Sept-May) at 7:30pm. Co-ed pickup volleyball games are for players ages 16 and older. No advance sign-ups are required, just show up, and we’ll rotate you into a game.
Men's Ministries
Men’s Breakfast Group
Thursdays at 8am. There is a saying that goes "the older we are, the better we used to be!" several men from Peace gather in the Fellowship Hall to share their stories of greatness over breakfast and coffee. We share a brief devotional and take some time to hear prayer concerns. After an hour, we go on our way even as we celebrate our friendship. All men are welcome to join.
women's ministries
Peace Women's Ministry (PWM) began in the mid 1960's for women to gather, grow in faith, to support one another, to study the bible together, to volunteer together and more. PWM continues to thrive with many "circles", or small groups, growth opportunities, and missions supported.
PWM Book Clubs
Bound By Books
Each month, one member suggests the reading, then facilitates a discussion based on that book.
Women’s Sunday Small Group
We meet before Sunday service to discuss popular Christian literature.
R.E.A.D.E.R.S
We meet monthly to discuss our latest individual read.
PWM Small Groups
Circle of Friendship
We meet monthly to pray, catch up, and of course have snacks.
Clay Pots
We are a group of 10 -12 women who meet monthly for the purpose of Bible study, fellowship, and service. Our signature ministry is preparing and giving friendship baskets to people in our faith community who have recently experienced difficult times, to express thanks, or well wishes. Additionally, we help to support missionary Samm Ellingson. We would be happy to welcome any woman who would like to join us.
Morning Glories
We are a prayer and mission oriented group. We like to talk and share our joys and concerns with one another. We also have great discussions during our study time, we welcome new members to join us!
Serenity Seekers
We were formed from a few women in Celebrate Recovery that wanted to know more about Jesus. We love "hands on" missions and desire to demonstrate being the hands and feet of Jesus in our church and neighborhood. No matter what your Bible background, you are welcome to join us!
Young Women's Small Group Room
We love to read. However, as much as we do love to read, sometimes our conversations have nothing to do with the book we said we’d read. But, it's ok. We have fun, and we become better friends with each meeting.
